Evaluating: problem uploading files to the server

Right now I'm evaluating Nimbula Director. I have installed nimbula to 3 servers according to Evaluator's guide, but I can't upload evaluator machine images - when I'm uploading images it tries to contact api on port number 444, but it seems that nothging is listening on this port (I have checked this with netcat and ethereal - no TCP connection to this port).

How can I fix this?

Evaluating: problem uploading files to the server

Hi Alexander,

Can you logon to one of the nodes and execute the following command:

nimbula-test-services

That command will check/test all the services that need to be running in order for Director to work correctly. The output of that command will give us a clue as to what might be wrong.

Are there firewall rules that might be blocking access?

No firewall. Tried from the same node:

[nimbulaadmin@8c-89-a5-a2-1c-7a ~]$ nc -vvv 10.0.220.219 444
nc: connect to 10.0.220.219 port 444 (tcp) failed: Connection refused

From the output of nimbula-test-services, it seems that the cluster is healthy.

Can you paste the command(s) you are using to upload the machine image? (please also include the output of these commands).

Lee, As you can see - netcat gives us 'Connection Refused' on port 444 of api - so this is not depending on commands I'm using to upload an image.

Screenshots attached.

Hi,

It seems that you may have encountered a known issue but I'll need a copy of your site.conf file. Could you attach it?

Regards,
Lee

Just to clarify - it's not really a "known issue". It's a situation where the default configuration can cause this problem.

A workaround would be to add the machine image using the CLI tool.

Please do send your site.conf in the mean time.
