Chris Pinkham, co-Founder and CEO

Chris is a senior technology executive and entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience building Internet and large infrastructure environments. Chris started his career co-founding South Africa's first ISP, TICSA/Internet Africa, which was sold to UUNET in 1996. Most recently Chris initiated and managed the development of Amazon’s Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), which has emerged as the undisputed leading public Cloud Infrastructure. Prior to that, Chris was Vice President of Engineering at Amazon.com, responsible for global IT infrastructure. Chris is a graduate of the University of Cape Town.

Willem van Biljon, co-Founder and Vice President of Products

Willem is a senior technology executive and entrepreneur who started his career building a unix-based operating system for mini-computers and the first retail debit card payment system for one of the largest retailers in South Africa. Building on that expertise, he co-founded Mosaic Software to build the first high-end payment transaction switch for commodity hardware and operating systems. Mosaic became one of the world's leading EFT companies with operations in more than 30 countries and was successfully sold to S1 Corp. in 2004. Willem then joined Amazon to develop the Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) service business plan and to drive product management and marketing for the service. Willem is a graduate of the University of Cape Town.

Reza Malekzadeh, Vice President of Marketing & Sales

Reza brings solid enterprise software marketing experience to Nimbula. Previously, he was Senior Director of Products and Marketing at VMware in EMEA, where he was responsible for all marketing activities in VMware’s second largest theater. Reza had re-joined VMware in June 2007 following its acquisition of Akimbi Systems. He had previously been employee #10 at the company, fulfilling the role of Director of Marketing from 1998 to 2002. Prior to joining VMware, Reza was Vice President for International business at Akimbi Systems where he drove significant international growth, including sales, marketing and channel operations. Before working at Akimbi, Reza co-founded Twingo Systems, which he successfully sold to Cisco Systems in 2004. Reza holds an MBA in Marketing and Business Strategy from HEC in Paris.

Vividh Siddha, Vice President of Engineering

Vividh brings over a decade of technology development and management expertise in software, computer networking and wireless communications. Previously, Vividh was the VP of Engineering at IPInfusion and was responsible for product management and engineering driving R&D, Professional Services and Support. Prior to IPInfusion, Vividh acquired a range of experiences in developing solutions in IP and wireless technologies at Coree Networks, Lucent Technologies, Bell Labs Innovations and Siemens AG. He graduated with a BS in Computer Science and Engineering from University of Pune, India. He is a member of the IEEE Computer and Communication Societies and the ACM.

Diane Greene

Diane was the Founder, President and CEO of VMware, Inc. Under Diane's leadership, VMware created the market for mainstream virtualization and the resulting virtualization software industry. Diane has held technical leadership positions at Silicon Graphics, Sybase and Tandem and was CEO of VXtreme. Diane serves on the board of Intuit and is a member of the MIT Corporation.

Ping Li

Ping is a partner at Accel focusing on IT infrastructure and software platforms. Prior to Accel, Ping worked as director in corporate development and product line manager at Juniper Networks where he was responsible for their flagship router products. Ping has extensive international experience as well through an operating role at Singapore Telecom, as well as a technology financier at Goldman Sachs Asia. Ping holds an A.B. from Harvard University, with honors, and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Roelof Botha

Roelof is a venture capitalist at Sequoia Capital focusing on services and software investments. Prior to joining Sequoia Capital in 2003, Roelof served as the Chief Financial Officer of PayPal (EBAY). Earlier, he worked as a management consultant for McKinsey & Company. Roelof is a certified actuary (Fellow of the Faculty of Actuaries), and has a BS in Actuarial Science, Economics, and Statistics from the University of Cape Town and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
